We feel that to teach about sustainable development and low carbon living we need to live it. As Gandhi said, ”We must be the change we want to see in the world.” Here at Abraham Paiss & Associates, we continually strive to decrease our impact on the environment while cultivating a high quality of life. Our office energy use is offset by solar and wind power, we recycle our waste paper, and we work diligently to make our personal and professional lives ones that can model the direction we feel society needs to go as a whole.
We have found pleasure in growing food in our community garden, sharing meals with neighbors several times a week, using an eco-pass to take the City bus, walking in nature, biking, yoga, hiking, using cotton bags for shopping, repairing cloths, having one car - a hybrid, etc. We respect the phrase: “Live Simply So Others Can Simply Live.”
